This is what 9000 logos (and inspiration) looks like

Logos are everywhere. We’re inundated with them everyday but the extent to which we are assaulted with them doesn’t really have much gravity until you see it like this. Look at all of these in one place really solidifies some of my thinking on the production of logos for branding.

To me, good logos are made of five things:

  • simplicity
  • recognizability
  • versatility
  • relatability
  • memorability
  • Now, seeing this and being reminded of what I like to do with a logo has inspired me and given me an excellent point to start my blog. What I would like to do (and will do in the coming weeks since, hey, it’s my blog and I’ll do whatever I want) is cover, in depth, my five, big points in logo creation. As a part of this series of blog posts, I will utilize some of these 9000 television logos to illustrate my ideas toward the finer points of logo design. So, without further ado, a sneak preview! My first article will have at least one of these logos in it!
